CapsuleForge is a tiny offline tool that designs complete, rule-compliant capsule image sets for Steam and itch.io. It's not another resizer: it generates the artwork — procedural backgrounds, pixel-perfect typography — then exports every size Valve asks for (1x and 2x, 2026 spec), plus itch cover and social images, zipped and correctly named.

Hackable on purpose: the whole app is one readable HTML file with a modding guide (MODDING.md included). Add your own art styles in ~20 lines. Source-available license: personal use + mods OK, no redistribution.

We disclosed "AI content: Code" because CapsuleForge's source code was written with AI assistance. That's where AI involvement ends. This is not an AI image generator: zero AI-generated graphics, zero AI text, zero calls to AI image models. Every background is rendered by deterministic procedural algorithms — fractal noise, seeded randomness — with hand-tuned palettes and human art direction.

Same seed in, same artwork out, forever, offline. The built-in fonts are drawn by human type designers (Press Start 2P © CodeMan38, VT323 © Peter Hull, SIL OFL 1.1).
